The absolute biggest writing contest we’ve EVER put together, and with it, a chance to win $1,000 in cash and prizes and have your completed, published book included in our Scribbler box! This January, we want to read your manuscript – yes, the whole thing! One winner will receive an offer to be included in our Scribbler subscription box if you find publication with a traditional or small press publisher. This means you can take this win to any literary agent and – in your query letter – explain that you have *guaranteed sales of your book if they sell your book to a publisher (which should be easier for an agent to do with Scribbler sales as leverage). This contest is open to all fiction genres: adult, young adult, or middle grade. The rights to your book belong exclusively to you. No part of your story will be shared online or with anyone outside of our closed-door editorial team. This contest is sponsored by our friends at Book Pipeline.

WHEN TO SUBMIT:
Contest opens Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Last day to enter is Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Winner announced February 15, 2022.
HOW TO SUBMIT:
After purchasing your submission, submit your manuscript as a .doc or .docx attachment to [email protected] with subject line “Manuscript Contest”.
HOW TO FORMAT:
Submissions must be double-spaced and 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Manuscript must not be longer than 700 pages after double-spacing.
*TERMS OF PURCHASING YOUR BOOK FOR THE BOX:
Scribbler must be able to purchase your book at our standard purchase price from your publisher that we’ve paid other publishers the most recent 6 months prior.
